Lydy FAQs
Does Lydy fit on all size cups?
No, Lydy doesn't fit on every cup. Lydy fits on any cup with the diameter of either 80mm or 89-90mm. Generally, this includes the standard 6oz, 8oz, 12oz and 16oz take-away cups. Lydy also fits on glass, ceramic and mugs.
Please note, Lydy does not fit on Keepcups or Large cups branded with Allpress.
Your website says Lydy is splash proof, what does that mean?
Lydy has a rotating spout cover that stops liquid from splashing out but liquid may still leak out when tilted or turned upside down. Lydy is to be used as a replacement of a standard lid that fits on your take-away cup.
What is wrong with using the plastic lid on take-away cups?
Plastic lids are made from #6, which is polystyrene (PS) or styrofoam.
#6 is difficult to recycle and often lands up in landfill and or our oceans.
#6 is fragile as it breaks down easily. The easy deterioration of this plastic causes tiny pieces to land up on our beaches and oceans called microplastics.
These microplastics then land up being consumed by our marine life.
When heated, #6 can release toxic materials such as styrene, which can be absorbed in the digestive tract. This can cause health concerns when exposed to high volumes on a regular basis
How long should Lydy last?
Lydy can last a long time. Keep away from fire and sharp objects. Lydy is dishwasher safe but we recommend handwashing with soapy water. Please stop use at the first sign of damage.
What is Lydy made from?
Lydy is made from 100% food grade silicone and RPET (recycled plastic). Silicone is made from silica which is sand. Which is a better alternative to the environment as it is non-toxic and eco-friendly.

Where is Lydy made?
Lydy was born in Sydney and made overseas.
We tried our very best to find manufacturers in Australia but couldn't find anyone that could source the silicone within a short period. At the time there was a shortage of silicone to Australia.
Why is my Lydy leaking?
Your Lydy might leak for a number of reasons
1. Ensure Lydy is dry before use. If Lydy is wet it can hinder sealing efficiently
2. If the barista uses a plastic lid and then takes it off it can effect the sealing. Once the rim is wet liquid gets into the rings and can pool with liquid.
3. The cup isn't the right size. Ensure the the cup is 80 or 90mm in diameter to ensure a perfect seal.
